These Auto Rickshaws once ruled the roads in Mangalore. Now they are a rarity. I have fond memories of traveling in these noisy rickety Rickshaws. They had a peculiar bump at the rear to keep luggage and stuff.
They were awefully slow and you would know that an auto is approaching just from its noise.
As kids on a summer vacation to granny’s place, if an auto stopped by our gate, we would rush to see if our cousins have arrived
