Do you know the story of ‘Six Blind Men and an Elephant’?
Even I wasn’t aware until @bosky_christopher told me about it and wanted me to make a painting about it.
I googled it up and here’s the summary –
Six blind men who never come across an elephant decided to imagine it by touching different parts of it with each man touching only one part.
– The first man touches the elephant’s trunk and thinks it’s a snake.
– The second man touches the ear and thinks it’s a fan.
– The third man touches its leg and thinks it’s a tree trunk.
– The fourth man touches its torso and thinks it’s a brick wall.
– The fifth man touches its tail and thinks it’s a rope.
– The sixth man touches its tusks and thinks it’s a spear.
All six men debate their versions of the elephant and in some versions, come to blows with each other.
