This painting explores the beauty of the Golden Trumpet tree, also known as Handroanthus Chrysant that blooms in its full glory on the streets of Bengaluru during spring (March and April).
Citizens get enthralled by its beauty with the sea of yellow turning the city into a magic land. In this painting, I have tried to capture its beauty against a backdrop of the blue sky.
This painting was created as a part of the Vasanta Chitra Sambrama artists camp conducted by Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan in the third week of April with 12 artists, celebrating the colors of spring in Bangalore 
This is also in the memory of a golden trumpet tree, that was in front of our apartment building beside the road. In the name of the development, it was brutally uprooted by a JCB.
