Oil Portrait Painting – Grandma

My late maternal Grandmother Smt. Sharada V Rao was the matriarch of the family. She was very kind-hearted, fun-loving, strict and fiercely independent woman. .My fondest memories were going to Mangalore (my hometown) during my summer holidays to be with her and gorge on various delicacies that she made. I was a very naughty kid and she was particularly strict with me, but at the same time, she loved me a lot. She treated all her kids and grandkids equally and taught us to be a good, kind human being.
