Acrylic Painting – Beach Dog

Sudipto Roy had taken a few photographs of this old pooch at Palolem Beach, Goa in 2012 during one of our trips.

It was in the mid-morning and this guy seemed so relaxed and contented while watching and hearing the ocean waves, experiencing the cool sea breeze and in the process, enjoying his nap.

I came across this photo a while ago and was intrigued to paint it. Have used various techniques to bring out the fur effect in this painting. This old guy was a treat to paint.
